FOUNDER & CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Jonathan Kwaku Baiden , LCSW-C
LCSW-C CBT Contemplative psychotherapy Solution-focused Culturally responsive Virtual-first
Jonathan brings years of experience across child welfare, community-based social work, clinical and behavioral therapy, supervised visitation facilitation, clinical management, and outpatient mental health administration. He built Baiden & Associates PLLC on a simple but deeply held belief — that quality mental health care should feel human, not transactional.
He works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem challenges, and major life transitions — with a particular focus on men who are often told to “tough it out” rather than seek real support. His approach is warm, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
Prior to opening his own practice, Jonathan trained in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies, working with men, women, and children to navigate life’s most difficult moments. Since earning his clinical license, he has also supported individuals and families coping with terminal illness — work that continues to shape how he shows up for every client.
Clinical Approach
Jonathan draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness-based techniques, and Motivational Interviewing — selecting the approach that best fits where each client is in their journey, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

A Little About the Person Behind the Practice
Jonathan is a proud husband and father of two beautiful children — the heartbeat of everything he does. He and his wife Jaynell call Prince George’s County, Maryland home.
Outside the office, you’ll find Jonathan on the soccer field — a lifelong Juventus F.C. supporter who loves both watching and playing the game. He also enjoys chess, a good podcast, and music that spans Afrobeats, Reggae, Classical, Country, R&B, and Soul. His wide range of interests and curiosity say a lot about how he shows up for his clients — open, engaged, and genuinely present.
